Creating and Applying Templates

Learn how to save existing workflows as reusable templates and apply them to new tasks within Agentive.

Saving a Workflow as a Template

Initiate Template Creation

  1. Navigate to the bottom-right corner of the workspace screen.
  2. Click the Save as Template button located directly below the Run button.

Configuring Template Details

Define Identity and Scope

  1. Enter a unique name for the template in the Template Name field.
  2. Provide a brief overview in the Description field to explain the template's purpose (e.g., specific document groups or test types).
  3. Select the Template Availability to determine access:
    • Select Draft to restrict access to yourself only.
    • Select Firm to share the template with everyone in your organization.
    • Select Agentive to make the template available to all users on the platform.

[!TIP] Use Draft mode if the template is still in development or specific only to your personal workflow.

Organize with Tags

  1. Click the No tags icon to open the tagging menu.
  2. Enter a new tag name or select from Global Tags (e.g., Training).
  3. Click Create for new tags or select an existing one from the list.
  4. Click Done to apply the tags.
  5. Click Save Template to finalize the process.

Applying a Template to a New Task

Access the Template Library

  1. Click the + button located next to the firm logo at the top of the screen to create a new task.
  2. Scroll down through the Add Request screen to view the library of available templates.

[!TIP] The most recently created templates appear at the top of the library list for quick access.

Select and Launch

  1. Locate the desired template (e.g., Training - Operating Expenses).
  2. Select the template and click Continue to load the pre-configured workflow.

Filtering and Searching Templates

Use the Navigation Sidebar

  1. Use the left-hand sidebar in the Add Request window to narrow down options:
    • Click specific Tags (e.g., ASC 842, Training) to filter by category.
    • Select an Audience category (Agentive, Firm, or Draft) to view templates based on their visibility settings.
  2. Use the Search bar at the top of the template library to find specific titles, tags, or descriptions.
