Activity
Timeline of request changes and updates for tracking engagement progress and team activity.
Overview
The Activity View provides a chronological timeline of all request changes and updates within your engagement. See who made changes, what was modified, and when actions occurred—perfect for tracking progress, reviewing team activity, and maintaining an audit trail.
Activity View is ideal for progress tracking, team coordination, end-of-day reviews, and identifying when specific changes occurred.

Activity Timeline Structure
Timeline Layout
Activity View displays a vertical timeline with the most recent activity at the top. Each entry shows:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Timestamp | When the activity occurred (e.g., "2 hours ago", "Yesterday at 3:45 PM") |
| User avatar | Who performed the action |
| Action type | What happened (created, updated, completed, commented, etc.) |
| Request reference | Link to the request that was affected |
| Change details | Specific changes made (status changed, file added, etc.) |
Recent activity shows relative timestamps ("2 hours ago"), while older activity shows specific dates and times.

The timeline tracks multiple types of activities:

Request assigned to or reassigned between team members.

Scroll down for history
Scroll down to see older activity. The timeline extends back through the engagement's entire history.
Jump to specific dates
Use date separators in the timeline to quickly identify when you reach a specific time period.
Activity View provides infinite scroll—keep scrolling to see older activity without pagination.
Date Grouping
Activities are grouped by date for easy navigation:
- Today — All activity from the current day
- Yesterday — Previous day's activity
- This Week — Activity from earlier in the current week
- Specific dates — Older activity with full date headers (e.g., "Monday, January 8, 2024")
Activity Filtering
Use filters to narrow the timeline to specific activity types:

Click the Activity Filter button in the toolbar (if available) or use the standard Filter menu.
Select activity types
Choose which types of activities to show (e.g., only status changes, only comments).

Activity View Best Practices
- Check it daily: Make Activity View part of your daily routine to stay informed
- Filter strategically: Use filters to focus on relevant activity for your current task
- Follow up on gaps: Requests without recent activity need attention or reassignment
- Document key events: Screenshot significant activity for audit documentation
- Train the team: Ensure team members understand that all their actions are tracked
- Use for retrospectives: Review activity patterns to improve team processes
Activity View shows all actions taken on requests. Remind team members that their activity is visible to the entire engagement team for transparency and coordination.
Activity Data Retention
How long is activity retained?
- Activity data is typically retained for the life of the engagement
- Archived engagements maintain full activity history
- Activity cannot be deleted or modified (audit trail integrity)
What activity is tracked?
- All request property changes
- All status transitions
- Comments and file uploads
- Assignments and reassignments
- Request creation and archival
Activity tracking ensures transparency and accountability across the audit team while maintaining a complete record for compliance and documentation.
