The Excel Add-In provides several interactive features to help you review and analyze your data:
Data Validation and Previewing
- The exported Excel file will retain the same color-coded markings from your validation exercises in Agentive.
- Clicking on any cell within the Excel sheet will open a Preview pane on the right, showing the underlying audit documentation and the specific citation.
- A yellow citation marker will appear next to the extracted information within the previewed document.
Manual Data Extraction (Lassoing)
- Use the Lasso tool within the Excel Add-In to manually extract or update data from a supporting document.
- Select a cell in Excel, then use the lasso to highlight the desired information in the preview pane. The value will automatically populate the selected cell.
Modifying Citations
- Use the Cite button to change the location of a citation marker within the supporting document without changing the cell value in Excel.
[!TIP] The Excel + Workpaper option is highly recommended for easy transport and archival of all relevant documentation in a single file.
[!CAUTION] If you choose to export the Workpaper Only, you will lose the interactive linkage and preview functionality for underlying support documents.
