Activity & History

Track request history, view status changes, and stay informed with notifications.

Overview

The Activity section of each request tracks the complete history of changes and updates, giving you full visibility into everything that's happened.


Activity Tabs

The Activity section has three tabs that organize information:

All Activity

Displays every action and comment related to the request in chronological order.

What you'll see:

  • Comments from you, your team, and the audit team
  • File uploads and deletions
  • Status changes (e.g., moved from "To Do" to "In Review")
  • Assignment changes
  • Field updates (priority, due date, category, etc.)

When to use:

  • Get a complete picture of everything that's happened on the request
  • See the full context when investigating issues
  • Review the entire timeline during handoffs or when someone new joins

Comments Only

Shows just the conversation between you and your audit team, filtering out system-generated activity.

What you'll see:

  • Comments you've written
  • Responses from your audit team
  • Questions and answers
  • Context and clarifications

When to use:

  • Focus on the communication without distractions
  • Quickly catch up on the discussion
  • Find a specific comment or conversation thread

History Only

Displays system-generated events and changes, excluding comments.

What you'll see:

  • File uploads with timestamps and uploader names
  • Status changes (who changed it and when)
  • Assignment changes
  • Field modifications (priority, due date, etc.)
  • Creation and deletion events

When to use:

  • Track when files were uploaded
  • See who made specific changes
  • Audit the timeline of status changes
  • Investigate when something was modified

Notifications

Stay informed about request activity through notifications.

What Triggers Notifications

You'll receive notifications when:

  • Someone @mentions you in a comment
  • A comment is added to a request you're assigned to
  • A request assigned to you changes status
  • Files are uploaded to a request you're watching
  • The audit team returns a request (status changed to "Returned")
  • Priority or due date changes on your assigned requests

Notification Delivery

Email notifications

Sent to your email address on file. Check your email settings to control frequency (immediate, daily digest, etc.).

In-app notifications

Appear in Agentive's notification center (bell icon in the top navigation bar).

Browser notifications

Pop-up alerts when Agentive is open in your browser (if enabled in your browser settings).

Managing Notification Preferences

Access your notification settings (typically under your profile or settings menu) to:

  • Enable or disable specific notification types
  • Choose delivery methods (email, in-app, browser)
  • Set quiet hours or do-not-disturb periods
  • Control frequency (real-time vs. digest)

At minimum, enable notifications for @mentions and status changes on your assigned requests to stay responsive to your audit team.


Viewing Activity History

The History tab provides a complete audit trail of all changes to the request.

What's Recorded

Every action is logged with:

  • What happened — Description of the change (e.g., "Status changed to In Review")
  • Who did it — Name of the person who made the change
  • When it happened — Timestamp (date and time)
