Editing an Existing Client Engagement
Learn how to manage and update client engagements, including adjusting settings, rolling forward, and managing categories.
Accessing Engagement Options
Locate the Breadcrumb Menu
- Identify the breadcrumbs at the top of the screen displaying the Client Name and the Audit Year.
- Click the ... to the far right of the breadcrumb trail.
Select Action Type
Choose from the available options in the dropdown:
- Settings: To modify core engagement details.
- Due Date: To adjust the target completion date.
- Roll Forward: To transition the engagement to the following year.
Updating Engagement Settings
Navigate to the Overview Screen
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu to open the engagement overview page.
- Modify the following fields as needed:
- Engagement Name
- Identifier
- Status
- Due Date
- Audit Period
- Board Type (Internal or Client Board)
Update Team and Client Access
Use the + icon in the Team or Client sections to add or remove members assigned to the engagement.
Managing Categories and Variables
Edit Engagement Categories
- Scroll down to the Categories section.
- Click the Pencil icon next to a category name.
- Update the Name or change the Color using the provided palette.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Configure Variables
- Navigate to the Variables section.
- Use the Plus (+) icon to set new variables or select existing ones to modify their values.
Deleting and Archiving Engagements
Roll Forward Before Deletion
Prior to deleting an engagement, consider rolling it forward to preserve workflow structures.
- Select Roll Forward from the top menu.
[!TIP] Rolling forward an engagement retains all requests and workflows for the next year, though it does not carry over the supporting documentation from the prior year.
Permanently Delete Engagement
- Locate the Danger Zone at the bottom of the Settings page.
- Click Delete Engagement.
[!CAUTION] Deleting an engagement is a destructive action that cannot be undone. All data associated with the engagement will be permanently removed.
